The Australian Open has been a reliable source for exciting matches and storylines in recent seasons.

Whether it's Angie Kerber's impressive victory over Serena Williams in the 2016 final, the explosive arrival of Hyeon Chung in 2018, or that magnificent Federer-Nadal championship decider in 2017 - Melbourne has delivered.

In 2019, we saw the singles titles captured by the two best players in the world.

Novak Djokovic lifted the Norman Brookes' trophy for a record seventh time thanks to a straight sets win over Rafael Nadal. While on Saturday, Naomi Osaka made it back-to-back major wins with her three sets defeat of the remarkable Petra Kvitova.

On Monday evening, I called into 2FM's Game On programme to discuss the champions with presenters Hugh and Alan.
