In defeating Robin Haase in the quarter-finals of Rotterdam, Roger Federer guaranteed that he would become the new world no.1 the following week.

On Monday, after clinching the title the previous day, the 20-time major winner returned to the top spot for the first time in over five years.

Federer is now the oldest world no.1 in ATP history, a moniker he no doubt loves!
