Wimbledon 2018 finished with two familiar champions in Novak Djokovic and Angelique Kerber.

While the German had never lifted the Venus Rosewater Dish before, she got pretty close in 2016 when she was pipped in the final by Serena Williams. In a rematch two years on, it was the 30-year-old who finished on top with a 6-3 6-3 scoreline.

On the men's side, Novak Djokovic looked back to his best on Sunday as he defeated Kevin Anderson 6-2 6-2 7-6 to claim the 13th major of his extraordinary career. The Serb will be a substantial threat at Flushing Meadows later this summer.

On Monday evening, I discussed both finals and the tournament overall with Damien O'Meara and Bernard Flynn on 2FM's Game On.
